Hey Rene,
Scott Aultman here of En Bref. I was actually with the boys on the weekend playing at the Franco Ontarian Festival and your name came up. We were wondering what you were up to and if you were still in the guitar making business. Kevin Daoust had posted your website on facebook, I was very excited to see that you are back in the game. I just want to say how happy I am with the bass that I bought from you in around 96. It has been a workhorse and I have had nothing but great comments from many front of house sound technicians that love the sound that that bass has. Have never had one complaint. It has been my main bass since I bought it from you. Used it to record the first En Bref album, will be using it to record our live album soon and am sure it will be used on our next studio album. Marty still uses the Tele you rebuilt for him and the Rene Roy acoustic that you built as well. I have to admit that a few years ago I bought a Music Man Stingray and a ‘78 P-bass. They have their place but neither of them have been able to replace the Rene Roy that you made. That bass is just the best all around sounding bass. Shawn even commented on it after the Franco gig how well that thing sounds. I am very glad to see that you are up and running again and wish you all the best in the future. Keep making those works of art my friend.
Take care,
Scott Aultman

More bass and electric guitar pictures will be added to this site very soon so you can see my latest work. So keep checking. Thank you

HI,
Rene nice to see you’re still building the best basses in the World.
This is Craig from Sudbury. You built my Bass in 1991, your very first build for basses and I still play this everyday.
